Initial Flash of Perception: Color and Pattern
Afterthoughts: Red, orange, and yellow leaves dance on a sea of green grass. The red in some of the leaves complements and contrasts with the green of the grass. Below the freshly fallen leaves and blades of grass, brown decaying leaves can be seen. Brown splotches on the leaves are a reminder that they, too, are in a state of decay. The natural cycle of birth, life, death, decay, and ultimately renewal is on full display.

Initial Flash of Perception: Sharp Angles and Negative Space
Afterthoughts: When exploring a new city, the height of the buildings naturally draws the eyes upward. A cloudy, overcast sky creates negative space and contrasts against which the dark buildings simultaneously float and are pushed forward into the viewer’s space. The windows also create three distinct patterns and visual interests that draw the eye upward.
